Merge PDF
Join several PDFs into one
Runs in your browser. Nothing is sent unless you share it.
The pages are joined in the order shown and nothing is uploaded. Form fields, bookmarks and tagged structure are not carried over yet.
How it works
- Add the PDFs you want to join. Each one shows its page count so you can check you have the right file.
- Move them up and down into the order you want. The first file's pages come first.
- Join them, and wait while the new PDF is built on your device.
- Download the joined PDF.

Questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. They are read and the new PDF is built on your device, and none of them leaves it. Contracts, statements and medical letters are the files people most often need to join, which is why this one runs where it does rather than on a server.
Will joining lose quality?
No. The pages are copied across exactly as they are, so text stays selectable and images are not re-compressed. The joined file is usually about the sum of the originals, sometimes a little smaller because anything no page uses is left behind.
Can I add a photograph or a Word file?
Not directly. Use JPG to PDF for photographs and save a Word, Excel or PowerPoint file as a PDF first, then join the result here. The tool reads the file itself rather than its name, so it will tell you which of these you have dropped rather than saying it could not be read.
What is not carried over?
Form fields, bookmarks and tagged structure are not kept yet. The joined file keeps every page exactly as it looked, but a fillable form becomes a flat page. The reason is plain: no library available to us today both leaves out what you asked to leave out and keeps the form, so the privacy half was chosen first.
Is there a limit?
Twenty files at a time, 50 MB each, and 2,000 pages in total. The limit is checked before anything is read, so a file that is too large is named straight away rather than after a wait.
Does the order of the files matter?
Yes. The pages appear in the order the files are listed, so a two-page covering letter listed first stays first. Use the arrows to change it before joining; nothing is built until you press the button.
