Gratuity · United Arab Emirates

AED 54,300.62

End-of-service gratuity · UAE

Service counted
7.01 years (2,557 days)
How this is calculated

Daily basic wage = monthly basic salary × 12 ÷ 365. Gratuity = daily wage × (21 days for each of the first five years of service + 30 days for each year after), with part years pro rata and unpaid leave left out. Nothing is due before one year of service, and the total is capped at 24 months' basic salary. The total uses the unrounded daily wage and is rounded to the nearest fils (Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021, Article 51).

An estimate, not payroll or legal advice. Rules change; check your case with a qualified adviser.

This covers Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 for full-time private sector workers. Under this law, resigning does not reduce gratuity. It does not cover part-time work, DIFC or ADGM employers, government employers, UAE nationals in a pension scheme, or amounts the employer may deduct for money you owe. Service before 2 February 2022 may follow the earlier law.
