How it works

Questions

What should a payslip show?

The employer and employee, the pay period, each earning and deduction, gross pay, total deductions, net pay and the payment date. A template, not payroll advice.

Why does it refuse a negative net pay?

Deductions larger than earnings would leave the employee owing money for the month. Spread a large recovery over several months instead. Check the limits on deductions where you are with a qualified adviser.

Does it work out absence deductions for me?

No. Enter the amount you have worked out from the employment contract and the law where you are. Check the method with a qualified adviser.

Is a payslip required in the UAE?

UAE employers in the private sector pay through the Wage Protection System, and many also issue payslips so staff can see how their pay is made up. Rules change; check your case with a qualified adviser.

Where do the salary details go?
